Jack "the Barber" Noggle, 82, of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away June 3, 2008. At his bedside were his wife Paula, his son Gary Noggle and Rusty, his daughter-in-law from Ohio. He was born September 30, 1925 in Wadsworth, Ohio. The youngest of eight children, he is survived by his wife, Paula; his sister, "Cappie" Police; his three children, Craig, Gary, and Janelle; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was a World War II veteran serving on the submarine Seaowl in the South Pacific Theater. He was a barber of over 55 years who cut hair at his 4th Street North barbershop for over 30 years before he retired at age 80. He was known simply as "Jack the Barber." He was a family man devoted to his family. He loved to play golf. An avid sports fan, he was a walking encyclopedia on statistics. He was eager to cast his line into the water to catch the big ones. He volunteered his time and trade to the bedridden, giving patients personal in-hospital service hair care services free of charge. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home, 1376 High St., Wadsworth (one mile north of I-76 on OH-94) with Rev. Robert E. Linsz officiating.
