The Dolphin caused me to be the one that got away. I put in a chit for transfer to her while she was being built. The XO and Engineer wrote a bunch of crap about me on the chit and gave me low quarterly marks, then asked if I wanted it forwarded to Squadron. Of course I said no, knowing that Id never have a chance for a good transfer. The next quarter my marks went back to near 4.0.
I dont like liars and self centered Aholes like that and started making plans to ditch the Navy.
A year later bye bye LT CDR Brown and LT Lacey.
Changed my life from a future lifer to civilian which Im glad. But my good life does include those 6 years I did serve.

Some people are penny wise and pound stupid. I didn't find too many in the wardroom on Permit that way, though there was one or two....for the most part, Permit had a damn fine O-gang...............

And I'd be proud to serve with most all of them again.
