At random: When the nuclear powered submarine USS SEADRAGON surfaced at the North Pole while charting the Northwest passage in August 1960, the crew organized a baseball game. Because of Polar time differences, when a batter clouted a home run it would land in either the next day or in 'yesterday'.

With all these posts about boat reunions, I was wondering if there is anyone familiar with Howard's boat. He served on the Henry L Stimson, blue crew. It would be intersting to maybe conect with ome folks who also served on it, maybe even with Howard.

Laura, click on the" Reunion Info" at the top right on this page. Then let your fingers do the clicking through the information. You can also do the same with "Find a Shipmate" and "Boat web sites"

I sent you several e mails with in depth informattion about sites you can visit to find crew lists. reunoin information, photos etc about his boat -- if you do not get let me know and if you do I hope it answers all your questions and queries. You shouldgo to a reunion - capt Lloyd bucher's wife still goes to the USS CAIMAN reuions (widow now several years) and enjoys the comradeship of her husband'sboat crew..
I encourage all widows, sons, daughters and other familhy members to come to the USS STERLET
(SS392) REUNIONS -- at our San Diego reunion in 2008 - Lt Wm Ranken's WWII crew member 's
two sons came and read the WWII crew member names at our "Tolling of the Bells" as did Lcdr Bugess son our skipper 66-67 read the crew of the 60'snames - I hope all families would come and support the reunions of boats of there loved ones - We are a "Lasts Man/Woman Standing fraternity.

I got the e-mails and will really review them once i get the move completed. I di notice there were a few surviving wives on the crew listing. I think i will try to get in touch with the crew list folks and see if I can do the same. THANKS BUNCHES for all your work on this.
