At random: The self-propelled torpedo, which gets its name from the eel TORPEDO ELECTRICUS, was invented by Robert Whitehead in 1868, a number of years before a practical submarine was developed.

...looking forward to it mate, cheers.

For those that don't know or have forgotten, we only have the one set of Dolphins....Gold in colour, issued to both Officers and Enlisted alike. No class difference there.

I received a complimentary pair while being qualified in the Australian Submarine Navy by Pricky Rea ,Administrator at the Veterans Memorial in Sydney - I now wear them with great pride on my Sub Vets Vest side by side -- they are awesome and the Gold color jumps at you. What a unique style
they are - and what a wonderful several hours I had at the museum shop -- wonderful hosts they were to Sue and I.
Other gifts were a poster of National Day, erasers, memo pads, pencils -- started a whole new office.
If you don't have a pair of Australian Dolphins I recommend everyone that wears a vest get one and
wear them with pride for our Australian shipmates

Well ya ol' Coot. Ya gotta get 'em the hard way. Ship over on an Aussie boat and get QUALIFIED. (They still got diesel boats, and could probably use an E-3 paint chipper)

No payment required Dexit is as we say in Oz "My Shout" you just save your pennies cos if I get over to the "Good Ol US of A" I'll be lookin you up for abeer and if I have one beer I need at least a Dozen more.

Apologies on the quality of the Ball Cap however like you we now seem to get everything produced in China and as yet quality control appears not to be in fashion as yet.

Nope, not avoiding, running scared, I'm easily intimidated by gun toting women especially those living in the Badlands.
