Subject: Last man down...

Does anyone have an electronic copy of the Last Man Down logo? Several of my shipmates from the Darter had it tatooed. It showed an open submarine hatch with a muscular arm sticking out, grasping the handwheel as it was being pulled shut.

Let me know at daveyj576@msn.com. Thanks

Dave Johnston

Hey! Thanks for the post. This one is close, but the one I had in mind showed just the hatch and arm and showed it from the side.

Seems to me that the hatch that would be closed when diving would have been in the sail below the bridge not in the bow. But then again what the hell would I know being a no nuke submarine sailor.

Is this the one? I've only seen this in black & white - I think it came from Roscoe's United States Submarine Operations in World War II but I'm not certain.

I agree, Davey. I don't recall the Darter having sail planes or the rounded bow. You can use your imagination on color.
While on the subject of tattoo's, I wonder if there is a drawing of Popey with his lower lip sticking out and dragging the ground.

Just to be a smart arse!!!! just what color would you like? Red, Blue or pink? In my memory, except for a couple of movies, submarines only came in black and white or a variation of the two.

I know you would wish that "Crystal", however, you DO known what fat chance means. I was thinking it more fitting for some old worn out CPO's that can't take humor anymore. You know, the ones that can get got to.

How about that image with a white background?

Photobucket

How about that image with a transparent background? I really like this one. Photoshop is a great tool.
