At random: A church in Kyoto, Japan calls its congregation to worship with a bell from a submarine. The bell, from the submarine USS RAY was purchased for the church, and was transported to Yokosuka, Japan by another submarine, the USS RONQUIL.

Subject: Charlotte Submariners

Are there any diesel submariners living in the Charlotte, NC area who would like to sit down over coffee and talk about the boats?

Bill, there is a USSVI Base in Ft. Mill,SC with 34 members. You can look them up for more details at www.ussvi.org then click on "find a base". There is also a base in Greensboro.
Swing on down to Charleston when you can. Our base always has something going on.

We meet every 2nd Thursday at the Fleet Reserve in Goose Creek.
