Mike Munhall Base Commander USSVI Groton Base "First and Finest" There is a port of no return where ships may ride at anchor for a little space. And then some starless night the cable slips leaving only an eddy at the mooring place. Gulls veer no longer, Sailor rest your oar. No tangled Wreckage will be washed ashore.
Hand Salute,
MS1(SS) Kenneth L. Szablewski. . . Rest your oar.

"Little Ski" as he was know by his Sea Robin shipmates, served as CS3(SS) in 1963. He made many lasting friendships on the boat that continued to his final days.
I made it my duty to attend his burial ceremony and represent his many friends, both local & distant that were not able to pay their respects.
Sailor, Rest Your Oar.
