This Poll for all members at www.ussvi.org asks the question about the role of Associate women members in your USSVI base chapter.

Our USSVI Constitution permits a base option to allow any associate member to serve as a Base Secretary or Treasurer, and there is an implied right of any base to decide whether to have associate members or not.

A few bases have asserted they have a 'right' to ban women associate members from participation (men associate members are ok) in their meetings, saying that USSVI is a men's organization and they don't want women involved, except through SubVettes or at their social functions.
