Sid,
I enjoyed the article on "The Ward Boys". I remember seeing a docu-drama on the incident several years ago. Very moving. Glad to see that the flick was kept factual. Do you have an update on fate of the Ward Boys? I have known families living in similar circumstamces in my travels across the country. I grew up in many parts of this country, my father was a Presbyterian minister and we lived from Upper NY to Alabama, including most states in between, and always in the country or very small towns. All 4 of us boys worked on mostly hardscrabble dairy farms. I have known several families living in similar circumstances that the Ward Boys live. Sad, but then who among us has not flirted, upon occasion, with the idea of dropping out and let the world go by?
Your collection is an infinate source of discovery and recollections. Keep it up!!!

Hey Sid,
Were you raised in that country, or somplace like it?
Sure makes me homesick for the Catskills where I was raised.
