At random: Long considered a versatile and deadly instrument of war, the submarine has broadened her capabilities with the adoption of nuclear power. Today the submarine serves as a ballistic missile platform, early warning station, killer of surface and underwater vessels, scout, coastal raider troop transport, supply ship, mine layer, and seaplane tender.

Ken is the person who is the driving force in our reunion group and so was Judy

Dear Flasher Family:

It is with a heavy heart that we report to you that Ken "Soul Pig" Tupman's wonderful wife, Judy, passed away suddenly yesterday, Sept. 14. Ken is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances and his daughter is with him.

On behalf of the members of the Flasher association, we have sent flowers to Ken and for the service. We hope that you are comfortable with us having done this.

The Schreffler Funeral Home at 110 N. Convent St., Bourbannais, IL 60914 is serving the family at this time. We do not know funeral plans at this time.

If you should wish to send Ken a note, here is his mailing address:
Ken Tupman
1516 Sunridge Road
Bourbannais, IL 60914

Please keep Ken and his family in your thoughts and prayers. We shall all miss Judy's laughter and joy at our next reunion.

Vernon & Ann Terry

A card will be in the mail today on behalf of the USS STERLET (SS392) Association - I know that without my Sue my reunions would never be as successful and I know that this will be a large
loss not only for Ken and his family but the entire Flasher Association family.

Too many losses in so little time this mnth. I hope all of our prayers are felt by all those feeling their losses.

Ken was on Flasher after I left so I'm not sure how he got it. He's doing pretty good under the circumstances. I guess Judy passed away very suddenly.
