Every time another obituary pops up on these forums my mind goes back to this essay.
One more peaceful moment
It reminds me to never forget to relish every moment of every day regardless of how seemingly mundane that day may seem at the time.
In fact, I have come to realize that after a certain point in the aging process there are no more mundane days. They are all special.
Its a beautiful, quiet, cool, but sunny day here in the hills. Leaves turn a little more each day and occasionally a flock of honkers pass overhead heading south.
How quickly the summer went.
Just thinkin' about stuff and thought I'd pass this along.

Yeah Sid, every day is a gift. I wonder why we don't realize this when we were young? Maybe I should say younger. Hell, we ain't old yet. |

I still like to lay out on the grass in the back yard and watch the clouds roll overhead. Of Course spare time for relaxing is more limited these days. And peace is hard to obtain at times. I have a couple of new neighbors who have faulty auto alarms that seem to go off a little too much. |

Nothing that an RPG to the engine compartment and a wrecker can't solve, LL! LOL
