ROBERTSON, Franklin Mackey, 75, passed away on Saturday, October 04, 2008 at the Gerstenberg Hospice Center in West Palm Beach, FL, after a courageous battle with cancer and heart disease. He was born December 23, 1932 on Lookout Mountain, AL, and relocated to Lake Harbor, FL at age two. He was a graduate of Belle Glade High School Class of 1951, attended Southern Tech in Atlanta, GA and served in the United States Navy aboard the submarine USS Clamagore (SS-343), out of Key West, FL from 1952-1956. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for thirty-six years in the instrumentation department, and retired in 1995. He was a founding member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, attended First Baptist Church of Lake Park for twenty-six years, and was a current member of First Presbyterian Church of North Palm Beach. Mackey was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jennie Lou Robertson, two infant brothers and his first wife, Jeanne (Dixon) Robertson. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Grace (Perry) Osborne Robertson, and five children: Kimberlyn Deal of Jupiter, FL, Scott Robertson of Middletown, OH, Sean Robertson of Seneca, SC, Scott Osborne of Pt. St. Lucie, FL and Jennifer (Mike) Erickson of Orlando, FL. He was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren, Joshua Robertson, Danielle Deal, Noah Osborne, Alexis Deal, Andrea Osborne, Van Robertson, Leah Robertson, Ireland Robertson, Katelyn Erickson and Lydia Erickson. He is also survived by siblings, Agnes Kneeland, Dorothy Ryan, James (Norma) Robertson, Claude Robertson, Van (Rhonda) Robertson and Alice (Paul) Rockliffe. Visitation for Mr. Robertson will be from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, October 7 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center St., Jupiter, FL. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church, 717 Prosperity Farms Rd, North Palm Beach, FL Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, FL. The family requests contributions be made to the Mission Fund of First Presbyterian Church of North Palm Beach or the Music Fund of First Baptist Church of Lake Park, FL.
