FINE, H. Robert "Bob", 75, of 125 E. Glen Ave. in Peoria passed away at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born on October 27, 1932, in Crawfordsville, Ind., to Harold Ray and Evelyn Moore Fine. He married Nancy Miller on June 20, 1958, in Indianapolis, Ind. She preceded him in death. He is survived by three sons, William (Sarah) Fine of Michigan City, Ind., Kenneth (Lori) Fine and Douglas (Salle) Fine, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Jennifer (Lance) Adams of Springfield, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Bob received his pharmacology degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind. For many years he was a partner and head pharmacist for Lewis Pharmacy in Canton, Ill. Retiring from this career in 1986, Bob accepted a position as chief pharmacist for the Kewanee Hospital in Kewanee, Ill. Bob also served as a pharmacist and was on the Board of Directors for Graham Hospital in Canton. He was an U.S. Navy veteran and submarine service volunteer serving aboard the USS Tang from 1955 to 1957 during the Cold War. He was a longtime member of Morning Star Masonic Lodge 734 in Canton and a 32nd Degree Mason with the Scottish Rite Consistory in Peoria. Bob was a tireless volunteer for the United Way, Proctor Hospital, Wildlife Prairie Park and food banks in several area communities. He was very active and was a member of Forrest Hill United Methodist Church and active in the Boy Scouts, receiving his Silver Beaver Award in 1975, from W.D. Boyce Council. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Forrest Hill United Methodist Church, with Dr. Kurt Keller officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Forrest Hill United Methodist Church, 706 E. Forrest Hill Ave., Peoria, IL 61603. McFaul, Robert L., 80, found peace on October 15, 2008. Bob was a longtime member and past president of the WW II Submarine Veterans, the Westfield Lions Club, Masonic Lodge #0148 in Wautoma, WI, and the Shriners of North America. Loving husband of the late Audrey (nee Schlueter). Beloved dad of Patrick (Sue), Tim (Karen), Colleen (Bob) Kingston and Robby (Julie). Cherished grandpa of Dan, Sunshine, Summer, Doug, Lindsey (Eli), Laura, Andy, Ashley and Kristy. Dear brother of Lonn (the late Joan) McFaul. Beloved cousin of the Moon and McFaul families. SHEETS, William Arnold, 92, passed away on October 13, 2008 in Phoenix Arizona. He was born on March 20, 1916 in Middletown Ohio. He attended Grand Rapids Junior College, the University of Michigan, the University of Maine and graduated from Dennison University in Grandville, Ohio with degrees in Economics and also in Geology and Geography. He was a Signa Chi. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as a LT. in the Submarine Service receiving an Honorable Discharge March 19, 1946. He was a Real Estate Broker and Insurance broker for many years and the co-owner of Inter-City Agencies for over thirty years. The offices of Inter-City Agencies were located in four states and numbered 20 offices in all. At eighty-two he assisted his wife in establishing Combined Services, Inc. and until September of this year did the accounting. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Sheets, his children, Stephanie A. Grant, Stephen W. Sheets, Pamela Sheets and Lucia Lewis, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three stepchildren and four step grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Arizona.

O'MEILIA, Charles R., 85, died peacefully in his sleep October 16, 2008. Known by his friends as Charley, he was the building official and public works director for his beloved Village of North Palm Beach for 26 years and a village councilman for 12 years. Charley was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma July 26, 1923 and graduated from Central High School in 1940. He earned a chemistry degree from Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) in 1943 and joined the Navy where he served as a lieutenant aboard the submarine USS Roncador (SS-301) in the Pacific during World War II. He remained in the U.S. Naval Reserve until retiring as a captain in 1972. After the war, he earned a degree in chemical engineering at Oklahoma A&M in 1947. He was co-owner of a small automobile engine rebuilding company and a forklift rebuilding firm in Oklahoma City until moving his family to Florida in 1963. For six years he worked for an engineering firm in Melbourne and Palm Bay before moving to North Palm Beach as public services director in 1968, running both the building and public works departments. During his tenure, the village built expanded Osborne and Anchorage Parks and built the North Palm Beach Community Center and the newly named Tom Valente Sports Complex. He was a key player in negotiating the acquisition of land that became John D. MacArthur State Park. He was the dean of the county's building officials and was chairman for 13 years of the Southern Building Code Congress committee that rewrote the hurricane code that Florida eventually adopted. He was president of the county and state building officials groups and accumulated numerous awards including building official of the year in both Florida and the southeastern U.S. After he retired in 1994, he ran for the village council a year later and served six two-year terms before stepping down in 2007. He served on the board of directors of the Leagues of Cities of Palm Beach County and was Member of the Year in 2006. He also was chairman of the multi-jurisdictional Northlake Boulevard Task Force. He was married for 58 years to Mary Clare Donnelly, an Army nurse he met in San Francisco at the end of the World War II. She died in 2005. They raised five children. Charley devoted his personal time to his family, coaching youth baseball, the Melbourne Central Catholic High School baseball team and one of the first girls' softball teams in North Palm Beach. He was an enthusiastic but largely unsuccessful fisherman. He was a longtime usher at St. Clare's Catholic Church in North Palm Beach. He is survived by his five children, Timothy of Palm Beach Gardens, Charles of Apopka, FL, Frank of Sylva, NC, Marianne of Alvin, Texas and Christine of North Palm Beach. Two of three brothers also survive him, William and Jay, both of Tulsa. He has four grandchildren and one great grandson. Friends may call from 5PM to 7PM Monday, October 20 at Howard-Price Funeral Home, 754 U.S. Highway One, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. WOLFINGER, Adam R., 84, died October 8, 2008. Mr. Wolfinger was a member of the US Submarine Vets of WW II, VFW Post 20, Loudenslager A.L. Post 0366, Fraternal Order of Artisans, and was employed for 30 years at the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard. Beloved husband of the late Anna M.
