At random: The first submarine which actually sank another enemy vessel under combat conditions was the CSS HUNLEY built during the Civil War. The Union frigate HOUSATONIC on blockade station off Charleston, S. C. was the victim. The incident occurred on February 17, 1864.

Just a tad chilly here in the Carolinas tonight, but, you lucky rascals up in the Northeast are getting SNOW. Not even halloween yet and that crap is falling. Ohhhhh, you are so lucky---NOT. Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina!!!!!
Let me swing the scope around and check out the mid-west. Ahhhhh yes, I do seem to be picking up some of that white crap way out yonder--ain't that right Cora.

Every winter, here in Ft. Pierce, Fl. we have to turn the heat on for about a week in the mornings. This seems to be part of that week. By noon it should be back up to 70.
