Nice view indeed, except for that big bald dome front and center of the photo. Paul, you sure do have a lot of adventures in your life! "Keep on keepin on," Shipmate!

Thank goodness it was an overcast day. The sun reflecting off that dome would have been blinding. We're glad you had a safe trip.
What's with the long sleeved jacket? I thought it was near summer like there.

Nice view. What is the 3 masted ship in the background in the second photo?

Nah, it's Spring here.

Besides, they were jump suits they had us wear, so we could be attached to railings and to protect out clothing etc.

No idea what the ship was, couldn't read the name from that height!

Probably the Svanen. She cruises regularly in the harbor.

One of the rarest of tall ships, she's rigged as a barkentine--foremast is square rigged and the main and mizzen are rigged fore-and-aft.

Welcome aboard LRod. Sounds like you've got some sailing by the rags experience. Tell us a little about yourself.

The testosterone isn't wasted on growing hair; it's put to another purpose. I've been told that men become bald by - nevermind.....

I was married to two of them. Actually, the first one had hair when we were married, but it was pretty much gone by the time he was forty. The second one was quite a bit older than me, so he was bald when we met.

How does the song go? I can stand up and TESTIFY!

(Of course you have to understand...I have a remarkable memory.)

gee, i wonder if the "memory" has anything to do with how long a man keeps his hair...does the memory "go" as each bit of hair falls out...because my father-in-law was not completely bald...lived to be 91 and seemed to have it all upstairs until the day he left this Earth.

(told you, I'd find a way, no matter how ridiculous, to help Cora)...

Okay - as long as we're being silly. I went on a bus trip once with another widow. We had both been widowed for a number of years. One day she asked, "Do you 'spose we're virgins again?"

It seemed like it at the time.

See, Patti, we (well me, anyway) can talk like an old salt.

And none of this has anything to do with the Sydney HarboUr Bridge. Sorry, Blue.

Eighteen to go.

RE: Ralph, bald men are the sexiest, don't you know?

No Cora, I have no idea about sexy men. That's really not where my interest be at Never had any experience with bald women either, however, maybe Dex or Olgoat can brief us on them since they were Norfolk boys. Us Charleston guys are a little more refined. Just a little now mind you.

gee, i wonder if the "memory" has anything to do with how long a man keeps his hair...does the memory "go" as each bit of hair falls out...because my father-in-law was not completely bald...lived to be 91 and seemed to have it all upstairs until the day he left this Earth.

Patti, much depends on whether the hair is falling out or falling in. Some old timers here, far be it for me to point a finger, like some old worn out retired CPO's most definitely have their hair falling in instead of out.

Dog-gone Cora, with that being said, you've got Blue's and a bunch others attention. Don't fret about any old bridge. Just commence with the rest of the story.

Were you trying to get attention to your spelling of "harbor" by capitalizing the "U"?
