This online strip has had a panel every day this week about veterans/remembrance day and what it is about. The link and strip starts here:

http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons/?id=20081110

The strip comes out of Vancouver, Canada and I have been reading it for years. Mostly geek stuff so this is a large departure from normal for J.D., the cartoonist. reading the comment board each day shows that the daily strips are not lost the folks who frequent the board there. Many themselves are vets it seems. The last strip is tomorrow. Click on the right end of the pencil at the top to move to the next cartoon.

Ric, thanks. It's nice to see that someone who is a journalist understands why we were out there. I especially liked the one that said, his dad didn't fight so others would be perfect, but so that they could have a choice. It is hard sometimes when you see people being idiots, but that's what we were trying to do, give them the choice to be idiots if they wanted. Everytime I walk into the local Walmart, the pictures of Veterans expands. It is nice that people can support veterans now, even if they didn't when we were serving.
