Subject: I just had the distinct honor....

...of shaking the hand of a D-Day survivor. I was walking through Costco when I saw the mans hat. He was in his late 80's at least. The hat said: "I'm a D-Day SURVIVOR. June 6, 1944" I stopped him and shook his hand and thanked him for his service and bravery. As he shook my hand he looked at my SubVets hat and thanked me in return. It was such an honor. This is the only D-Day vet that I know of that I have met.

Outstanding Ric... any chance you got contact info?  It would be a pleasure to have him as a guest at a base meeting (yeah, I know, I never make the meetings... )
