....50 meters in length.

One more after 49 and one less than 51 meters.

Also, it is 0.05 of a Kilometer.

There you go, the metric system is way too easy, even Americans can understand it if they try.

...ya know it's real funny to go to Canada, (a 'metric' country) and still hear folks talking feet and inches and pounds. You can be "official" what ever you want but what you are use to prevails. Though gas is sold by the liter I can still hear folks still talk Imperial Gallons, (no idea what ever that is/was about).

Actually one meter equals 3.280840 feet. That counts if you're in a trivia game where money is on the line.

The Imperial Gallon equalled 5 quarts so all of us Detroiters (back in the 50's and 60's) used to drive across the river to Canada to buy gas. The difference in the dollar made it worth while. When they switched to liters the benefit disappeared.

FYI...

An excellent resource is Bob Drudge's - Refdesk.com
(If you only had one bookmark - this should be it)

...and in the "for what its worth category":

I have Refdesk.com linked on HEAVY HITTERS

More search stuff like this linked at
SID's ENGINE ROOM - If you can't find it with these, you don't need it.

For example, ASK.COM is an outstanding site
50 meters in feet - Ask.com Search

Ain't this internet sumpin else?

Yup, that's the final answer and I'm sticking to it. There's no additional decimal places.
