At random: "THAT'S NICE THAT THE ELECTRICIAN AND A-GANGERS WORKED ALL NIGHT TO GET THE DIESEL GENERATOR READY, BUT WE'RE NOT GETTING UNDERWAY UNTIL EVERY TOASTER IN THE WARDROOM PANTRY IS WORKING" quoted during Tautog's DustPac '85-86 Deployment

A fat machinist mate who used to be able to get underwater but has since breathed too many diesel fumes? (Just a shot in the dark also)..

"hard working TORPEDOMAN!"

Isn't that an oxymoron? He's obviously a suave and debonaire HM with a definite penchant for charming the ladies.
Just ask the Beagle Doc; he'll tell you.

Obviously, you guys wouldn't know a suave, debonair, handsome, and of superior intellect, Engineman if you fell over your lower crank...

I neglected to say in my case, I was born with the congenital birth defect of being handsome and a girl magnet, just dig that snappy salute.

Nah it's not a QM because he would be comparing his nails to her's to see if his shine better...

MM or MoMM, NOPE... that whole thing about "suck, bang, blow with injection... diesel power" she would probably be scared if she heard that one.

ET/EM.. hmmmm Nah, they twitch from time to time because of getting electricuted a few too many times..

HM?? ya know I don't know about that one because he is a "short arm inspector" he may have seen more short arms then she has and that may scare her also....

YN, thought about that until I realized that he probably scared her off with his impressive typing skills which may have been better then hers

TM.... OBVIOUSLY, who would have to ask such a question.. IF you look close you can see that his left arm appears to be around her waist and because of the smile he probably has a nice handful of her ahem.

Can't be a TM, no scabs on his knuckles from dragging across the non-skid and two separate eyebrows.

You can't see his left arm in the picture, and it's not his 'phins she's fondling, it's his submarine combat pin.

Back in the pit with you A-Gangers, don't you have the IMO's to work on or the Hardy Tines??? ya know the last time I sat the helms/planes watch the rudder wasn't reacting the way that it used too, do me a favor and go and make sure that the PM's were done on the plant and that the rudder and stern planes are properly greased.

Ooops forgot to tell you that the COB is PISSED that the capstan hasn't been greased for a LONG time and that it barely worked the last time we tied up so if'n ya don't mind when ya get done with the rudder/stern planes please go and FIX the capstan.. I am tired of hearing him complain that we barely were able to moor because of you freakin AGanger's not doin your freakin job.

See ya on the beach sometime next week, don't worry I will have a beer or 12 ready for you when you get here

Cora,
IF you look at the fine young lass' right hand you can see the edge of the insignia of a Petty Officer (the crow) and to me IF you look you can see the lines of his left arm running down her right arm and then one plus one equal 2 in my book.. but what the hell do I know I am only a 688 TM who has changed over to the Army and have been a "Garritrooper" for a few years teaching the kids of today how to fight in a war that is not popular and now making sure that those soldiers whom are coming home have the best barracks available..
