At random: Records for enemy shipping sunk by U.S. submarines during World War II are held by two boats built by Electric Boat. The USS FLASHER sank 100,231 tons of Japanese shipping, while the USS TAUTOG holds the record for the most ships - 26.

Frank Markus's record of service and a report of his passing is also included in the eternal patrol section at www.ussvi.org as are all WWII and later submariners who have passed on.  There are, at this time, over 3,500 eternal patrol reports to be found there.  Hand Salute!  Thank you for your service, shipmate.  You are relieved, sir.  We've got the watch.
