KEKACS, Sr., Robert J., 77, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Bob was born in Bridgeport, March 24, 1931, to the late John and Anna Twardzik Kekacs. He was a lifelong Stratford resident graduating from Stratford High School in 1949. He was a proud Navy Korean War veteran, serving on the submarine USS Halfbeak (SS-352), the former owner of Paradise Green Atlantic Service Station and Industrial Hydraulics, Bob was currently employed as a mechnical/ hydraulic engineer by Show Motion Inc. in Norwalk. He served on the Stratford Waterfront Commission and was an avid boater and captain. In addition to his wife of nearly 59 years, Agatha (Mauro) Kekacs, he is survived by his loving children, Robert Kekacs Jr. and his wife, Ollie; daughter, Tammy Constantine and her husband, Russell; daughter-in-law Jackie Kekacs; brother, John Kekacs and his wife, Jean; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kekacs; brother-in-law, Ralph Mauro and wife, Darlene; grandchildren, Eric Kekacs and wife, Staci, Ryan Kekacs and Matthew Kekacs, Jeffery Rhodes, Jessica Kekacs, Jordan Anderson, and Nicholas Constantine; four great-grandchildren, Kayci, Dylan and Tyler Kekacs and Jasmine Rhodes; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his son, Ronald and brother, Thomas. Bob's memory will live on in all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Sterling House Food Pantry, 2283 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Pistey Funeral Home 2155 Main St., Stratford. "Hug your family."

WALL, Sr., Charles William, 86, passed away Thursday January 15, 2009. Death can never separate those who are bound together by the ties of pure love in our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a resident and native of Baton Rouge. He was a US Navy officer with the Submarine Service and an LSU graduate. Survived by three sons, Charles William Wall Jr. (Lois), William Egan Wall (Carol) and Jeffrey Frank Wall (Mary); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Wall; mother, Mary Isabelle Wilson; wife, Lula Louise Egan Wall; four brothers, Alex, James T. Jr., Richard L. and Edward A. Wall; and a sister, Nora Belle Wall Thompson. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park.
