Subject: 5-Inch 25 cal wet mount gun and Mk 37 Torpedo

Folks,

We have added some manuals to the HNSA web site:

5-Inch Gun Mount Mark 40, OP 1029, 1944, describes the five inch, 25 caliber, wet mount gun used on U.S.N. submarines near the end of WW II.
http://hnsa.org/doc/fiveinch25/index.htm

Submarine Qualification Book - Mark 37 Torpedo, 1966 is a section of an officers qualification book describing the tactics used with an electric homing torpedo.
http://hnsa.org/doc/torpedo-qual-mk37/index.htm

This complements the Mk 37 manual that was added about a month ago:
Mark 37C Torpedo System Technical Description, NVR 73-50, 1973, describes the update of the Mk 37 torpedo to the C version. http://hnsa.org/doc/torpedomk37/index.htm
Proofreaders are always appreciated.

Also note that there have been more booklet of general plans (surface ships) added to that section:
