PROSEUS, Charles T., 56 of 10 Maple St., died Thursday March 5, 2009 at U-Mass Medical Center in Worcester, MA. He was born April 8, 1952 in Anniston, Alabama a son of the late Charles H. and Ethel (Strickland) Proseus and had lived in Moosup for many years. He was a US Navy Submarine Veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Proseus was employed at Electric Boat for 33 years, retiring in 2006 as a Senior Test Engineer. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #113 in Moosup and a member of Moriah Lodge #15. Mr. Proseus was Past Master and Past Associate Grand Marshal. He was a communicant of All Hallows Church, Moosup. Besides his wife of 36 years, Patricia (Morrissette) Proseus, he leaves a son, Timothy P. (Rebecca) Proseus of Putnam; a daughter, Beth Ann (Wesley) Reinhart of Woodbridge, Va.; three grandsons, Gabriel, Owen and Noah Reinhart; one brother, James Proseus of Mobile, AL; two sisters, Cookie Parcus of Huntsville, AL and Jane Proseus of Darien, WI. He was predeceased by a sister Charlene Salinas. The funeral will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd., Plainfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. in All Hallows Church. Visiting hours are Monday 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 106 Rt. 32, N. Franklin, CT 06254, or to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 659 Tower Ave., first floor, Hartford, CT. 06112-1269.

DEANGELO, Jr., Frank N., 83 - of Tuckerton(formerly of Atlantic City), passed away peacefully of Sunday, March 1, 2009, in Spartanburg, S.C. while visiting his son. Mr. DeAngelo was born and raised in Atlantic City and graduated from Atlantic City High School. He was a veteran of the US Navy Submarine Service during WWII. Mr. DeAngelo was a life member of the D.A.V. and the American Legion. He also served as a scout leader in the Boys Scouts of America. Frank (Shorty) was a mail carrier in Ventnor for most of his career with the US Postal Service. Mr. DeAngelo is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Renee DeAngelo; three grandsons and their families, Brian and Theresa, Christopher and Holly and Scott, as well as two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Haley. The Mass of Christian Burial for Frank DeAngelo will be Celebrated 10:00am Monday, March 9, 2009 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, California and Atlantic Avenues, AC. Friends may call Monday morning from 9:00am at the Church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, following Mass.
