At random: USS TRITON, the only American made twin reactor submarine ever built, on May 10, 1960, completed the first totally submerged non-trivial circumnavigation of the world when she followed the route of Ferdinand Magellan for 36,000 miles during 84 days beneath the surface.

Subject: Binky

This video shows a really stupid woman who climbed over a fence and then took great pains to avoid an electric fence to stick her camera into the bear cage to get a photo. She tried to sue the zoo. Denisse and I saw Binky when we were up in Anchorage and the tennis shoe. A few months later someone poisoned Binky in the middle of the night.
I still wear my "Binky Catch and Release Club" T shirt and have to explain what it is about.

I think the bear should be able to sue the woman. I mean put yourself in the bear's place, if someone attempted entry into your home you would defend yourself. But the poor bear gets clobbered pretty good for defending his home.
Maybe i'm just getting old...but when I was young I was taught to obey rules. Today it seems to be the trend to break as many rules as you can.

I have no sympathy for that woman - she's lucky to be alive.

Robert A. Heinlein, in several of his Lazarus Long books, pointed out that Stupidity is the only universal Capital Crime - the punishment is immediate, and there is no appeal.

This gal got off easy.
