STETSON, Robert (Bob) Paul, 86, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born September 14, 1922, in Somerville, he was the son of the late Ralph and Alice (Wetherbee) Stetson. He was the husband of 62 years to Helen Rose (Trueman) Stetson of Framingham. Bob also served as a Framingham town meeting member for two years. He loved being at sea fishing and always had a boat which he enjoyed on holidays with his family. His other interests included gardening, skiing, nature and animals, and most of all, he treasured every moment with his family. Besides his wife, Helen, he leaves his two children, Robert Trueman Stetson, and Barbara Lee Ferreira and her husband, Tony. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dawna and Jonathan Ferreira, and a great-grandson, Brandon Bandelt. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m., from the Grace Congregational Church, 76 Salem End Road, Framingham. Burial will follow with military honors in Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove St., Framingham. Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., (corner of Union Avenue), (www.nortunfuneralhome.com), Framingham, are Wednesday, March 25, 5 to 8 p.m.
