Dunno.

If he won't ship then just email me an address and I'll pick up a quart for you and send it.

I've still got some blueberries from last time I was in Mich. UP, Kingston Plains, home of the best wild blueberries in the country. I also have a package of West Virginia buckwheat flour. Now all I need is some sweet NY State Maple syrup to top off my blueberry buckwheat pancakes.

Nice photos of a tree'd country rode with pails hanging from trees...I guess to do this job, you gotta know which are Maple trees, as opposed to oak or sycamore. I think oak syrup is very bitter.

BTW! You're right, I never heard of NY maple syrup, and I lived my entire life in NY, it was always Vermont Maple Surple...

Joe, where we lived it was actually King Kullen maple syrup. I too have never heard of NY maple syrup although it sounds plausable considering the trees up in God's country (Adirondacks).

Maple Glazed Walnuts/Pecans/Almonds

1/2 cup Maple Syrup
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Butter
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1-1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 Cups Shelled nuts

In an iron skillet or saucepan stir together the syrup, cinnamon, butter and salt.

Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture becomes brown and starts to thicken.
Add vanilla, then nuts and toss until the nuts are evenly covered with the glaze

Quickly spread and cool on waxed paper.

ENJOY!

Joe...NY State Maple Syrup can be found almost anywhere.  We get it from a little general store just outside of Delhi, which is north of Binghamton.  It's a bit "dear" in price, but well worth it.

I've got my jug stashed on a special shelf tagged"The Old Man's private stock".
I keep a big bottle of "storebought crap"on the table for the rest of the animals.
