Subject: Clyde VanLandingham, Captain, USN Ret.

Captain Clyde VanLandingham, the last executive officer on USS REQUIN and last American commanding officer of USS CATFISH (SS-339) before she was given to Argentina, died of cancer on 28 December 2008. His ashes will be inurned in June at the US Naval Academy.
