At random: The first boat known to have been navigated under water was built in 1620 by a Dutchman, Cornelius Van Drebbel. Van Drebbel is said to have developed a chemical which would purify the air and allow the crew to stay submerged for extended periods.

A poem posted on the City of Pittsburgh, Bureau of Police website -

Somebody killed a policeman today,
and a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
will be buried with him at his side.

Posted in memory of Officer Eric G. Kelly, Officer Paul J. Sciullo II, and Officer Stephen J. Mayhle, killed in the line of duty on Saturday, April 4, 2009 responding to a domestic disturbance call in the Stanton Heights section of Pittsburgh.
