Ok, here’s what is going on with the “BESSPHOTOS” website. I have been holding back until my provider gives me some type of an answer about “FRONT PAGE” software. It seems that Microsoft has decided to drop the FRONTPAGE software and support of it. So it looks like I’m going to rebuild my site. I have been holding back updating the site until. Besides ‘DDREAMWEAVER” what are some other Programs that don’t take forever to learn. Any help or ideas? Gary |

I use Netobjects Fusion 9 for the various websites I do for church, favorite restaurant, etc. It has several similarities to FrontPage, without the squirrely Microsoft touches. Can be done totally without knowledge of HTML, or you can do mods all you want.

Frontpage was innovative when it first came out but it has long been surpassed by other software, even before Micro$oft bought it. If you want something that is easier to use use the Composer Function built into Mozilla.
Personally I use HTMLKit http://www.chami.com/html-kit/ it is free and has made most all of my web pages and you don't end up with "code bloat". Frontpage is terrible that way and Mozilla is bad too for "code bloat".
(As a side note, by using HTMLKit you get use to seeing the code and end up learning HTML coding)

1) This book:
HTML, XHTML, and CSS
2) This website:
http://www.w3schools.com/
3) And notepad.exe
(located on your hard drive with Windows)
That's all you really need! But if you don't want to tackle that, I've heard good things about KompoZer and it's freeware/open source. It is a WYSIWYG HTML editor with integrated FTP which is what you are looking for I guess. I've never used it. |

Try SEAMONKEY
It has browser, mail, and a composer. Basically NETSCAPE on steroids.

If you know how to use Frontpage, Mozilla Composer is far easier. |
