HUDSON, Irving Lynn, 85, passed away January 26, 2009, in Tucson, Arizona. He was born to Sharon and Mable Hudson, December 16, 1923, in Lambertville, Michigan. He graduated from Bedford High School in 1942 and enlisted in the Navy the same year. He was assigned to the submarine USS Bream (SS-243) where he served as an electrician. He was very proud of his time on the Bream and enjoyed traveling to the reunions to see to his fellow crewman over the years. Upon his discharge from the Navy he returned to Lambertville to work in his father's business, Sharon Manufacturing Co., until he retired in 1985. In 1990 he and his wife, Janice moved to Tucson, Arizona There he enjoyed playing golf and hiking in the Catalina Mountains. Left to cherish his memory, his wife, Janice; son, David (Joan) Hudson; daughter, Cheryl Sexton; grandchildren, Dave Hudson, Ryan (Kira ) Hudson, Craig Sexton and Heather Sexton; great- granddaughter, Lauryn Hudson; stepson, Robert (Dee) Kalb; stepdaughter, Bonnie (Peter) Goes; three step grandchildren, James (Kelly) Kalb, Jeffrey Kalb and Justin Kalb; step great-grandchildren, Grace Marie, Bryce Lewis and Reece Jacob Kalb; sister, Lorena Paschen; two brothers, Sharon and James Hudson. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Paul, and sister, Ruth Bentley. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Irving Lynn Hudson will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4030 Douglas Rd., Toledo, OH, on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider, Casa de la Luz Hospice, 400 W. Magee, Tucson, AZ. 85704 or Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
