At random: Dollar for dollar and man for man, the submarine is the country's most economical weapon. Comprising only 1.6 percent of the Navy's World War II personnel, the submarine service accounted for 55 percent of all enemy shipping destroyed.

to "all" the MOMS out there...and to "some" who have had to take on the roll of Mom.   Can't be easy for them, to be both Mom and Dad...they are a special breed...and it takes someone of very strong character and who has lots of love in their heart.

So, too ALL OF YOU...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

(John Garry and I are headed to Groton for Return to Sub School and Anniversary)!

See y'all in the funny papers!

Patti: There are also those out there that are dad & mom (if that makes sense) - I was an active duty Navy dad/mom (read bachelor father) for a couple of years and I'll tell you, my hat's off to any other guy out there performing the same duties as I have had in the past!

Happy Mother's Day also to you GUYS!

Thank you, D...and John.  Speaking of "the Chief"...gee, John, I think I tried to "convey" that message, didn't I (sniff, sniff)??

I am hoping that the weather will clear up for tomorrow's festivities...Return to Sub School and Graduation.  So, keep your fingers crossed.

Have to go set the alarm...6 AM comes early...for me, anyway.

Ta-Ta!!!

Uh, Ralph...we are on "vacation"...normally, even with Garry home, we are up at 4:30...it used to be 3:45 when he was going to work.  So, we catch a bit of break this weekend.
