Today I received a Mother's Day card from Cam.

It said:

"To A Special Grandma -

Only the very best

things in life

are passed down from generation to generation,

they are woven

into the history

of the family

and become

part of who we are...

...like stories

that are repeated

...like traditions

that are honored

...like people

who are examples

of what we hope

to be - like you, Grandma.

Our family is so lucky to have you.

Happy Mother's Day"

And he signs off with: "Hope you are doing well and having fun.

P.S. I'm still Alive

Cam"

The "I'm still alive," is a running joke. Every time I hear from him, he either says-or-writes, "I'm still alive," or, "I'm not going to die." I think that's because he knows I worry about him. Hey - I'm Capricorn; I Worry. That's my job.

By the way - I'm holding him to those statements.

I'm his only grandparent. Both his grandfathers and his maternal grandmother are deceased.

He's a good young man. He'll do okay, Cora. There will always be his Grandma there in his Spirit keeping him straight. But remember, he's young and he has to try those wings in order to fly.
When you write or talk to him next tell him, not to get anything on him that won't wash off.
