At random: Records for enemy shipping sunk by U.S. submarines during World War II are held by two boats built by Electric Boat. The USS FLASHER sank 100,231 tons of Japanese shipping, while the USS TAUTOG holds the record for the most ships - 26.

Hey Doc:

Don't it get a mite chilly flying home at night, when the cold cold tailwind blows?

Talk about blue - ahem - This is a family BBS, Let's change the subject.

Nice one Doc,

and I can only hope that you aren't going to be wearing your kilt going down the road and while it would be interesting to see you play your bagpipes going down the road that may be a bit dangerous.

Semper Fi and thank you for your service

Of course he will ride in the kilt. Thats what the fairing is for. Just put it in cruise control and play the pipes. I know some Shriners around here that would do it just to make some kids smile. That new bike does have a steering dampner and set throttle doesn't it?

Haaa ! Just wait until he collects one of those large bumble bees or an oversized june bug up that kilt. He'll be blowing that bag pipe to sound like a 331/3 record on 78rpm.

I got a lot of respect for Doc,
He is crazy enough to be a submariner, and survived
He is crazy enough to be a Corpsman with the Marines and survived.
But being crazy enough to ride a Hog in a skirt, Well I just dont know if anyone can survive that.

Dont fall off and stab yourself in the with that little knife you keep in your sock

You're close on the spelling; it's Sgian Dubh and means "Black Knife" which has nothing to do with it's color.
I have several of them depending on how formal the occasion is.

Thx Doc, Bapa was from Glasgow and Nana from Dundee. His brother, Bob Gillan served in the Black Watch.
