Just saw a message that said he was found dead. I didn't like him because he was so loud and usually changed the channel when he came on. Well RIP

Sorry he went so young. I, too, detested his commercials and changed the channels.

Wasn't that expression made famous by the reporter covering the Hindenburg? (and you must listen to GB, eh?)

Apparently he was hit hard on the head by falling luggage during a rough landing at Tampa airport the day before he died. Although the news said it was unlikely that the blow caused his death, I think it sounds like he developed a subdural hematoma and that is what killed him.

As if the news would have the slightest idea what facts or truth are. I think most of the talking heads subscribe to what Dex so humorously alleges acts which involve chicken bones and blood, midnight, exotic chants, and throwing bones at midnight, dead cats at the cemetery, etc.

Well, I don't know the guy. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's out of my hands............

Like him or not (I did, in a quirky way), he *did* catch your eye and ear. He sold a *lot* of product, so he must have been doing something right.

As I understand it, he honed his skills on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City. You have to have a *gimmick* to catch the attention of passers by. His obviously worked.

Add to that that many of the products he hawked actually worked (OxiClean, etc.), and the rest is history.

I'll miss his "HI, BILLY MAYS HERE FOR XXX."

I must be in the minority here. I got a kick out of Billy Mays. Vince the ShamWow guy, now that's another story! I wasn't a bit surprised when he got arrested for smacking hookers around on South Beach. He just seemed like a lowlife to me.

This past Christmas, everyone was giving ShamWows as a joke xmas gift.

Turns out they really suck...and not as in, sucking up water. If you try to dry your car after washing it, you'll have nothing but water spots all over the car. They really, really suck...
