Henry "Roger" Hollister Robinson, III, 64, of Gettysburg, PA, died at his home on Friday, June 26, 2009, after battling an extensive illness. Roger is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue Ann Paxton Robinson; son, Roger S. Robinson of Gettysburg; two daughters, Heather R. Robinson of Fairview, N.J., and Nicole L. Robinson of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Margaret Steele of Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard Island, Mass.; sister-in-law, Lora L. Paxton of Gettysburg; and mother-in-law, Renee A. Paxton of Venice, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger S. and Louisa Price Robinson of Martha's Vineyard, Mass. Mr. Robinson was born in Miami, Fla., but spent his formidable years in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard Island, Mass. He spent 7 years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, serving on ships and a SSNB submarine plus 2 years as a combat corpsman attached to 1st Marines, 1st Force Recon in the Republic of Vietnam. He also received the New York State Metal of Valor for rescuing a man by jumping into the Chemung River from a National Guard helicopter during Hurricane Agnes. Mr. Robinson was the owner and operator of the nightclub in Corning, N.Y., named, "That Other Place." He belonged to the Gettysburg Travel Council, the Gettysburg Country Club for 25 years, the VFW Post 15 and The American Legion. He worked in construction, insurance and hotel management, for 15 years he was the GM of the Gettysburg Travelodge on East Lincoln Avene and was the GM of the Gettysburg Hotel from construction through opening. Mr. Robinson remained affiliated with the Inns of Distinction for many years. Besides spending time with his family and beloved shelties, Mr. Robinson enjoyed golfing with his wife and also sailing with his family on the island and more recently with his in-laws in Venice, Fla. Arrangements are being handled by Auer Cremation Services of PA, Inc. A private memorial will be held on Martha's Vineyard Island at a future time. Donations may be made in his name to the Lutheran Hospice and Homecare of Gettysburg for their wonderful care and support throughout.

PRESSNELL, William Forest (Bill), 85, of Ballwin, MO, born in Findlay, OH, died on Sat. June 27, 2009. Beloved husband of Dr. Lucille Pressnell, nee McKinney; father of Wm. Forest Pressnell, Jr. of Max Meadows, VA and Leslie (John) Porter of Kernersville, NC; brother of Robert Pressnell of Findlay, OH and Carol (Kay) Fultz of Mt. Vernon, IL. Bill was a member of the ILL-MO Submarine Veterans. He served on the USS Dragonet (SS-293) during World War II. He was also a member of Community Christian Church in Manchester. Services: On Tuesday, June 30, 2009 an Interment and Tolling Ceremony will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2:30p.m., and a Memorial Service will be held at 7:00p.m. at Community Christian Church, 623 Meramec Station Road, Manchester, MO. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Community Christian Church. A service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at schrader.com.

Peter D. George, 86, of Hollywood, Florida, formerly of Quincy, MA died May 9,2009. Born in Springfield, MA August 2, 1922. He was a graduate of Wentworth institute and a member of the Black and Gold Society. Mr. George was the President and owner of the P.M. Instrument company of Cambridge,MA and Hallandale, FL. He was an inventor and held many patents on his inventions. Many of his inventions aided the medical field greatly. He leaves a daughter Maureen Burke, a son Peter M. and a stepson Robert D. Whitney. Also survived by his Sister Sophie Vergados, brother George M. George and two grandchildren Joseph Burke and Deborah Gallagher. He was the husband of the late Sally Naser. "Pete" was a US WWII Navy Veteran serving with the submarine service. He will be sadly missed by all. Services will be held July 1, at 11 A.M., Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.

Montgomery,. David R., CAPT, USN, Ret., 70, of Cumberland, R.I., formerly of Connecticut, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009, following a brief illness. He was the husband of Susan (Henderson) Montgomery. Born in Hastings, Neb., he was the son of the late David and Ruth (Spencer) Montgomery. Capt. Montgomery was a 1960 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served in the submarine service for thirty years, retiring in 1990. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Stephen Montgomery of Long Island, N.Y., Jonathan Montgomery of Hoover, Ala., and Daniel Montgomery of Mystic, Conn.; three daughters, Margaret Lobo of Franklin, Mass., Melanie Kwok of Huntsville, Ala., and Marietta Montgomery of Cumberland. He also leaves six grandchildren. A service will be held July 2, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant St., Franklin, Mass. Burial with Military Honors will be held at a later date in R.I. Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant St., Franklin, Mass. 02038 would be appreciated. Arrangements by O'Neill Funeral Home, Cumberland.
