And, if you show up in a kilt and play the bagpipes our polite neighbors will ply you with good Canadian Beer.

Don't be telling me it's Molson. I like Labatt's 50 Ale and Labatt's Blue of the massed produced beers and I also like Moosehead. Here's a website of some of the lesser known brands and brew pubs Just click on the map to find beers that "tickle" your palate http://www.realbeer.com/canada/

Master and Commander Posts: 1455 | Subject: RE: Happy Canada Day.... I'm a big Ale person both in taste and size. I didn't know they brewed an Ale. That will be rectified this month when I'm up in Montreal. A couple of the micro breweries are nearer where I stay when I'm up there. Unfortunately I think they'd be closed before the end of the work day. But I'll see if I can convince my driver (my local rep) to make a side trip. Yeh, like asking a Canadian if they want to stop and have a free beer or few.

He used to bring back a pick-up truck load of Molson's and Moosehead and LaBatt's. I just participated in a survey that mentioned the Lakehead Brewing Company in the Great Lakes region. Anybody familiar with them?
