At random: In a fraction of a second they are projected into eternity and will never possess a final resting home. They have graves without bodies, they are an exceptional breed of people....It is of utmost pride to me to have met these men, those lords that I salute, praise and admire. - Winston Churchill on Clearance Divers September 1944

Shipmates:

Yakima Base and Silent Service Motorcycle Club member, Doug Dahlke, was in a serious m/c accident.  He was airlifted to Harborview Hospital in Seattle today(Monday, I think, DG).  His leg was removed  before he was transported.  He is stable and the outlook is looking good.

Anyone who has more current news, please post here.

Godspeed Doug.... if you need ANYTHING, the SSMC members are standing by shipmate!

Don,  SSMC COB

Don:
You got an address? I'll add him to the Binnacle List if you can get me one to send cards to.

Man, what a bummer, Don. Prayers are on the way.
A USSVI member here in Chasn had a similar accident not long ago and lost a leg. He's back riding as far as I know. It took some practice learning how to ride again.

What a terrible accident. Hopefully with the help from The Big Guy in the Sky, his friends and kin can help him recover and addust to a new chapter in his life.

Also passed to the USS Seadragon email list.

At this rate, they may need a truck to deliver Doug's mail.

If only our cards had the power to heal flesh, and not just ease pain.......
