Maybe the Queen of England has dropped the custom, but American 'Royalty' has not.

Just carry a rear-view mirror.

I think that if you read the fine print, "swine of the highest order" must still bow, curtsey and walk backwards in presence of Royalty.

THE HELL YOU SAY!!!! Gary, there are some about that shouldn't chew gum and walk at the same time. With walking backwards it does tend to show light on folks that aren't too coordinated to be amongst us.
Like RCK said..."Let them eat cake"
It took much to be Knighted into "Swine of the Highest Order". Let those lesser folks walk backwards from one coast to the other.

Lady Cora and the Duchess of Lumpy Bumps have suggested the following Master and Commander protocol....They will settle for "Your exhalted Majesty" followed by a bow of majestic proportion, and for girls, deep curtsie and an exhaltation rising in perfect harmony from some major league chior....the peel of cathedral bells and 20 minutes of spectacular fireworks, a 33 gun salute and a march by of the Michigan State Marching Band....the release of twenty-seven thousand white doves and Meg Ryan jumping buck nekkit out of big Angel Food Cake.....DEX
