Subject: Seattle Base Tolling the Boats

This will happen on Sat Aug 22, 2009 at Marina Park in Kirkland, WA. BBQ, United States Navy Band will be playing a one hour concert for the public and during the ceremony. Redmond VFW honor guard will do the colors and rifle salute. The Seattle Base Float will be on display a long with some of my photo larger collection items for the public to see.

If you are in the area and want to attend things start hopping about 11AM.

The ceremony was a great one at a beautiful location - pulled off with excellence thanks to Bob Opple, Pat Householder and Steve Shelton and many, many others. I am remiss in not mentioning that USSVI WRD4 John Mansfield was another SSMC member present but "escaped" the photo. John gave a great talk at the ceremony!
