Subject: Joe Roche on the Binnacle List

From Martini's BBS -

Extracted from a SIRAGO Association bulletin, Joe Roche, is in the hospital, having suffered a stroke last Tuesday. He has been transferred to a rehab unit and the Dr. told him he had a very good chance for a full recovery but that it could take up to a year.

A shipmate spoke with him this evening and he seemed to be in good spirits but said that his movements are somewhat restricted. He can't write and needs a walker to get around. But he can talk on the phone and would love to hear from anyone. He has a direct line and answered the phone himself when called. He is supposed to be in the hospital for about three more weeks.

God Bless ya Joe!  I'm fully confident you'll be answering all bells asap.  Follow the doc's instructions to a T and you'll be fine in no time.  If you need anything shipmate, just say the word!

Dang, Joe. I'm sorry to hear of your medical diversion. You're just ornery enuff though to get back to normal sooner just to spite the danged medical community.

Holler if you need anything. You'll be in the Stoops family prayers for a speedy recovery. And don't you dare let Gardner in the door, no matter how much he tells you he's there to help....He'll steal all the "unmentionables" in the house!!! And anything that has alcohol in it!
