At random: Records for enemy shipping sunk by U.S. submarines during World War II are held by two boats built by Electric Boat. The USS FLASHER sank 100,231 tons of Japanese shipping, while the USS TAUTOG holds the record for the most ships - 26.

I pan to follow a couple of WW II vets as they walk past. Fartherest from the camera is Erv Schmidt, He was aboard the California when it was bombed, then on the Chicago when it was sunk and finally volunteered for subs and qualified on Saury and is a plankowner on Torsk and was aboard when they sank the last two combatant ships of WW II. Shorty Shelton is closest to the camera. Both are in their mid 80's!

I put up a display of some of my submarine photos from my collection on the side of the float. All of these photo also reside on the Looking Glass page. These picture were all printed from the original negatives. The public who walked by all seemed to enjoy them.
