At random: The first periscope used by the United States Navy was not built for a submarine. The ironclad monitor OSAGE utilized a periscope to discover a Confederate cavalry unit taking cover behind the high banks of the Red River in Arkansas.

Subject: Sailfish and Tom "Old Gringo" Parks Site updates

Hello all

I built Tom's website on GeoCities years ago. Now they say they want some pesos from Old Gringo's trust and annual Tequila Tasting Camp to keep that site open.

So I have recently moved it to a domain I own. Don Gentry and others interested, please make the change at the Boat Listings page from the geocities site to: http://www.millcreekvalleyfarm.com/tomparksoldgringo/subs1.html

and the link for Tom's personal home page on the web is now:http://www.millcreekvalleyfarm.com/tomparksoldgringo/

and the eMail link under Tom's crew listing should now be utahbeekeeper@yahoo.com should any of his shipmates children or grandchildren be a lookin' for the Old Gringo.

Perhaps, if you feel it is appropriate, a listing on your Eternal Patrol page for Tom, and under that the URL to Dad's permanent home on the web: http://www.millcreekvalleyfarm.com/tomparksoldgringo/
He passed 9 years ago 4 October 2000 My brothers and I will be roasting iguana somewhere in SoCal that weekend It is his story, and I couldn't really add anything better as far as a blurb under his name on that page, other than a link to Old Gringo's Pages.

Thanks for considering the updates.

Bee well!

Thanks for keeping us updated. So many pages just disappear. I can't believe it has been 9 years.

Wow! Thanks Tom. I read every word. Thrilling to read again. Old Gringo will be in our hearts forever, thanks to you. The treasure that these guys left us who remain cannot be measured by any means.
