Has anyone that uses Internet Explorer, upgraded to IE 8 and if so, have you had any problems with it???

Thanks.

yes----I uninstalled it and reverted to IE7. I spent a number of hours on a client's machine trying to make some sense of his problems. I uninstalled IE 8 (Not necessarily compatible with all versions of XP) and reverted to IE7. Reinstalled IE7 and problems with Yahoo mail went away.

I very rarely use IE and only when I am forced to; Firefox does a good job and I am sure Opera and other browsers do too..

Thank you, Dave.  I keep getting "upgrade notices" from MS to upgrade to IE8 and you just confirmed why I have been hesitant about doing  it.

...for whatever reason, the latest upgrade, 3.5.2 (?) doesn't like my XP.

Sites crash, hang, and just plain annoy the hell out of me so I went back in time to 3.1 which is great..

I also use Firefox, but the "upgrade notice" I keep getting is for 3.0.13.  I can't tell if what I am using now needs to be upgraded or not...it's 3.0.8.  The only problem, I can't catch it to do the install, before it disappears.  Old age setting in, I guess.

I think I have 3.5 on my laptop...it seems to be OK with Vista.

Thanks, Paul, for the info.

I'm running Firefox 3.5.2 with Vista on my desktop. No glitches yet and faster than earlier editions.

3.5.2 seems to run OK here on my XP/pro machine.  Perhaps one of the ADD-ONS is causing a problem, and you might try disabling them to see.

I downloaded and installed IE8 months ago and so far so good. No problems that i am aware of. Of course I am kinda like Dex when it comes to computers. As long as they work I am happy.
