Steve L. Toth, son of Steve and Margit (Szucs) Toth passed away unexpectedly. He was 52 years old. Born in New Rochelle, N.Y. on September 20, 1957. Steve later moved to Allentown where he attended and graduated from Louis E. Dieruff High School. He joined the Navy. After his training in Fla. he went to Naval Submarine School in Groton, Conn. from where he graduated May 5, 1976. He served on U.S.S. John C. Calhoun where he made Quarter Master. He worked in various places, he died in Arizona. Survivors: Father, Steve; mother, Margit; brother Andrew and his wife Linda.

Charles Geib Alger, 87, died October 1, 2009. He was born in Spokane, WA on June 30, 1922, the son of Russell and Alice Alger. Charles was a retired civil engineer and navy veteran. He served in the submarine USS Haddo in the Pacific during World War II. He and Peggy shared a love of travel and visited Europe, Central America, Australia and New Zealand over the past two years. Preceded in death by his parents; he is survived by his wife, Peggy Wiedman Casper Alger. They were married on March 17, 2007 and resided in the Walnut Grove Senior Residences in Omaha, NE. Noel Anthony Tittsworth, TMCM(SS), USN, Ret., 88, died Thursday October 1, 2009. Noel was born in Warren County, TN April 17, 1921. He served 25 years with the U.S. Navy in the submarine service. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran [S-15, Lionfish, S-11, Bream]. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and sisters, and his wife of 60 years, Dortha Tittsworth. Surviving him are his daughters, Janice and husband Larry Barnett, Ann and husband Jerry Brady; son, Barry and wife Donna Tittsworth; sisters, Rose Morgan and Elsie Keith; brother, Larry Tittsworth; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Twickenham Funeral Home South. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Honor Flight Tennessee Valley, c/o Huntsville Times P.O. Box 1487 WS, Huntsville, AL 35807, or www. Honorflight.net.
