| Subject: GE - Submarine Related GE has been in the business news lately. From what I read the company is slowly sinking. Selling off business units for the last few years. When I was in the navy, their equipment was everywhere. The Polaris missile computer and guidance system were GE (Pittsfield, MA). Turbines were GE; reactor stuff was GE; etc. You would see the circle with GE logo everywhere. They were kicked out of the Dow Industrial index by a Drug Store chain! It was only earlier this month that GE signed a deal with BAe Systems to provide their expertise in improving power performance/resilience in present and future RN surface warships.
